The Open Door Mission (ODM) is a non-denominational Christian ministry located in Glens Falls, NY.  The right candidate will meet our Qualifications for Employment and Statement of Faith.

Resource advocates build relationships, connect guests to resources and in-house service opportunities. Be a safe and comforting presence in common areas, and an available resource for those in crisis.  Resource Advocates also provide supervision and care to Open Door Mission clients, ensuring that staff, clients and property are safe.

Positions At The Mission

Resource advocates are responsible for building relationships, connecting guests to resources and in-house service opportunities. Be a safe and comforting presence in common areas, and an available resource for those in crisis.  Provides crisis intervention, de-escalation and debriefing in situations of conflict, stress and trauma.  Salary range $17-$18, depending on experience.

Work with ODM program participants to navigate Open Door Mission’s Life Path Program developing a individualized life transformation plan.  Maintain a caseload of guests, assisting each in developing their own Life Path plan toward a healthy addiction-free life, living wage employment, and stable housing.  Salary $20 an hour
