Open Door Mission Announces Incoming Executive Director, Reuben Todd

Posted on 11/11/2025

Glens Falls, NY — Open Door Mission is delighted to share that Reuben Todd has been selected as the organization’s next Executive Director, effective January 1, 2026.

Reuben brings extensive leadership experience and a long-standing commitment to service. Most recently, he served as Director of Operations of the Agricultural Stewardship Association (ASA) in Greenwich, NY, where he led organizational growth and strengthened community partnerships. Before his time with ASA, Reuben spent more than two decades in faith-based leadership roles, guiding teams, mentoring youth and adults, and providing hands-on support to individuals and families across diverse community settings.

Originally from Ontario, Reuben is a graduate of Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA. From his earliest years, he felt a call to ministry, and that passion has shaped a career marked by servant leadership, strategic thinking, and a deep compassion for those facing hardship.

Board Chairman Dave Liebetreu expressed gratitude to outgoing Executive Director Jamie Munyon for his impactful leadership. “Jamie’s steady hand and caring heart have served the Mission and our community exceptionally well. We are grateful for his dedication and support during these past three years,” Liebetreu said. “As Jamie transitions back into counseling—his long-planned next step—we are excited to welcome Reuben. He is a gifted leader and communicator with a clear heart for people. We have tremendous confidence in his ability to guide the Mission into its next season.”

Jamie Munyon echoed that confidence. “It has been a privilege to serve Open Door Mission over the past decade,” he shared. “The work happening here is transformational. I have great trust in Reuben’s leadership—he leads with integrity and heart. The Mission is in very good hands.”

Reuben expressed enthusiasm for his return to faith-based service. “I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to join Open Door Mission. Returning to this type of ministry feels like coming home,” Reuben said. “The work happening here is life-changing, and I look forward to serving alongside this dedicated team and building on the strong foundation already in place.  Open Door’s commitment to individuals experiencing homelessness, crisis, and instability is essential to the strength of our community. I’m energized by the opportunity ahead and ready to meet the challenges of these uncertain times with focus, compassion, and determination.”

Reuben will begin his role on December 1, working with Jamie throughout the month to ensure a smooth transition.

Welcoming New Leadership to Continue Our Mission of Hope

Dear Friends and Supporters,

It is with an inexpressible amount of gratitude that I write to Thank You for your support of Open Door Mission. I believe passionately in the work we do with every fiber of my being. I also know that the relationships we build, the meals we serve, and every resource we provide to the guests of the mission would not be possible without your commitment to give. We truly appreciate your partnership in this essential work!

My journey at Open Door Mission has been one filled with purpose and meaning. For the past ten years, I have grown close to so many individuals in our community. I have shared in their struggles and been witness to the image of God imprinted on their souls. I celebrated victories and mourned heartache. In every instance I have experienced the grace that God provides so freely. It has been one of the greatest privileges of my life!

During those years I have also been attending college. Early in my career at the mission I received my Associate and Bachelor’s degrees. This past August, I received my Master’s degree in Social Work. It has long been my goal to earn the degree and become licensed to work in the field and last week I passed the licensure exam. Praise God!

My heart has always been drawn to helping people find healing and wholeness, and I believe God is now directing me into a new chapter — one where I can live out that calling through counseling. With both joy and bittersweetness, I share that in the coming months, I will begin transitioning out of my role as Executive Director to follow that calling.

It brings me great comfort and confidence to introduce Reuben Todd as the new Executive Director. Reuben is a man of deep integrity and compassion, and I know he will lead with the same heart for people that has always defined this ministry. I also want to express my deepest respect and love for our Board of Directors — a truly selfless and faith-filled group who continually seek God’s will for this mission. I have full confidence that Open Door’s future is bright and firmly grounded in Jesus.

If you are receiving this letter and would like to speak to me directly, please don’t hesitate to call me. I will remain at the mission until the end of the year and will be available to you and to the new leader for a period of time beyond that.

Open Door Mission will always hold a special place in my heart. The joy that I take with me I will have for eternity.

In Christ,

Jamie Munyon
