The Open Door Mission invites community members, service providers, first responders, educators, and advocates to join us for our Re-Entry Simulation & Recidivism Symposium on September 10, 2026, from 9:30 AM–12:00 PM at The West Glens Falls Emergency Squad in Queensbury.

This interactive event is designed to help participants better understand the barriers individuals face when re-entering society after incarceration, including challenges related to housing, employment, transportation, recovery, and support systems.

Through discussion, simulation activities, and shared perspectives, the symposium aims to build awareness, strengthen community collaboration, and encourage solutions that support successful re-entry and reduce recidivism.
