This is a challenging position but rewarding. Shelter Manager: In collaboration with Executive Director (ED) and the Program Director (PD) develop, oversee, and grow all elements of Open Door Mission’s Shelter Services. Shelter Services shall be developed and operated with a 3-prong approach to include: Life/job skills, Recovery, and Discipleship. Ensure the highest quality, attainment of program goals, and alignment with ODM mission statement, philosophy of ministry, and values. Directly supervise Program Staff including participation in hiring and firing, discipline, scheduling, and evaluation. Train and educate ODM staff, at the request of the Program Director in recovery and other programmatic areas, facilitating support of program participants and guests. Counsel shelter and program clients consistent with Biblical principles in support of a grace and truth environment. Prepare all reports related to programs, collecting relevant data and ensuring its accuracy. Address and resolve program-related concerns, including client disciplinary action. $21 an hour. Business Manager: Provide supervision and oversight to ensure a safe environment and smooth operation of Open Door Mission facilities. Ensure that all physical facilities and equipment are maintained in a safe, efficient, and economical fashion. Responsible for oversight in the following departments: human resources, volunteers, events, security, warehouse, maintenance, finance, and phones/IT. $21 an hour. Discipleship Pastor: The Discipleship Pastor will develop a ministry that encourages spiritual growth, prayer, and a desire to be disciples of Christ. This person will play a critical part in leading the fulfillment of the Great Commission, cultivating disciples. Under the direction of the Executive Director, they will be responsible for client spiritual formation at the mission. They serve the Mission by partnering with the program participants and guests to develop, coordinate, and implement effective ministry programs. $18 an hour, part time. Food Pantry Worker: The Food Pantry Worker plays a vital role in managing the daily operations of our food pantry, ensuring that we meet the needs of our community effectively and compassionately. This position requires a dedicated individual who is passionate about food security and has strong organizational skills. The Coordinator will oversee food distribution, manage volunteers, and collaborate with local organizations to enhance our services. Responsibilities: Oversee the daily operations of the food pantry, including food collection, storage, and distribution. Coordinate volunteer schedules and training to ensure efficient service delivery. Maintain accurate records of inventory, client interactions, and program statistics. Develop and implement outreach strategies to increase community awareness and engagement. Collaborate with local agencies and organizations to secure resources and support for pantry operations. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations regarding food handling and storage.
