THE PATHWAY HOME CAMPAIGN

Since we’ve open our 8-bed shelter in our new location at 226 Warren Street, we have been full every night! While the 8 bed shelter has been a blessing, we know the need continues to increase in our area and completion of the new building which includes additional beds is essential. With winter just around the corner, we know that CodeBlue is coming soon and we’ll have to provide more shelter for those who are most vulnerable in Glens Falls.

Our Pathway Home Campaign has gotten us to where we are and will continue to enable us to more than quadruple our capabilities. With the additional renovations and beds, we will be able to house both men and women during Code Blue season, serve more meals every day, offer larger “Bridges Out of Poverty” classes, and connect more people with the resources they need to get back on their feet.

When complete, our new building here at 226 Warren Street will include:

  • 50-bed shelter
  • Classroom*
  • Dayroom*
  • Learning Center
  • Admin Area
  • Chapel
  • Stand-Alone Solar Power Center
  • Dining Room and Kitchen
  • Clothing Center*
  • Courtyard and Landscaping
  • Medical Clinic
  • Computer Lab
  • Lobby/Elevator

* Items with an asteriks are already completed.

NAMING OPPORTUNITIES

How can I get involved?

The Pathway Home Campaign is broken up into phases:

  1. Resource Center / Day Room
  2. Complete Ground Floor / Kitchen
  3. 50-Bed Emergency Room
  4. 1-Year Program Floor
  5. Health Clinic / Grants

Each phase of the campaign relies on the generosity of our donors to continue progressing. Our goal is to complete Phase II as soon as possible so we can offer shelter to guests during Code Blue. You can help us make that happen by donating directly, or raising awareness of this campaign by hosting an event where we can speak, naming one of our spaces through a corporate or family donation, hosting a private fundraising event, or working with us to spread the news of Open Door’s work with those in need.
