Board Chair

Dave served 12 years on active duty in the US Army following his graduation from the
United States Military Academy at West Point. He moved to the greater Glens Falls area
upon leaving the Army while starting a new career at International Paper in Corinth. Dave
and his family spent two years in the area but returned a few years later when Dave
became the Mill Manager in Corinth. Subsequent assignments took him to International
Paper’s corporate headquarters in Tennessee, but Dave and his wife Kathy have maintained
a home in the area for almost 30 years. Their two boys, both Queensbury graduates,
consider this area their childhood home.
Dave said, “Kathy and I love this community and have a heart to serve in it as well. Kathy
was actually the first in our family to embrace the vision of the Open Door. We supported
the mission for several years before I was invited to join the Board of Directors in 2020.
Now, we have an opportunity, working with the Board of Directors and ODM leadership, to
continue to serve this critical need in our community.
