We are always looking for volunteers to help with a wide variety of tasks. From serving meals to sorting food and clothing donations, and beyond – we have areas to serve for all ages.
The Open Door helps approximately 100 families each month with emergency food boxes. Our food needs for these boxes and other food items needed for the meals we serve will vary from time to time so be sure to check out our lists of what is currently needed.
Throughout the year we will have different needs of items ranging from deodorant and razors to toiletries, cleaning supplies, feminine products and so forth. See what our current needs by clicking below.
We feed more than 49 children every week through our Backpack Program at 3 area partner schools. Our needs for this program vary from food, snacks, to milk cards, and the actual backpacks themselves.
“I have a better understanding of the daily struggles of poverty, not just what I thought it was. I think I can connect with much better understanding.” This is what a Bridges training can do for you. Educating not only those who work with the public, but anyone who wishes to do something about poverty, this training will impact our community for the better.
